COVID-19 Reopening Update: Summer 2021

While the Maunakea Observatories have not resumed any in-person tours or activities, other astronomy related facilities on Hawai’i island are starting to reopen:

The Visitor Information Station, midway up the mountain, reopened in July 2021; more information is available at www.ifa.hawaii.edu/info/vis. 

'Imiloa Astronomy Center has reopened to the general public on on weekends, starting July 24, 2021.
